Cathy and I were thrilled to be able to see the progress in person when we stopped by and visited on Sunday (sorry to miss you Jill). We got to show our guys all the wonderful work, too -- and even the bits we think are the ones we did.

Also looking forward to seeing the completed jacket.

Please tell us the blog won't go away when the project is done. I've loved reading about the jacket work, but the other information has also been marvelous.

It was a fabulous time and thanks again to Jill, Wendy, Tricia and the whole plantation who always make us stitchers feel so welcome.
PS: I'm hiding behind the lacing because after working around it for 3 days I felt I had almost become 'one' with it :) :) :).

A huge round of applause for Jill, Tricia, & Wendy for their willingness to teach, encourage, and even snap the whip as needed, for their incredible good cheer through trying times, and their faith in our ability; to Marcia for incredible food; to Penny, Shaina, and all the interns for their time & patience.

And now we get to look forward to the next milestone! Yay!

CON-GRA-TU-LA-TIONS !!!
I read this blog almost every day and I am always amazed ! Embroiderers and coordinators have made a great job since the very beginnings. I can't wait to see the next steps and I'd love to stitch on the jacket. Keep going, it is a real pleasure.

Wow, what a fantastic sight and a fantastic effort by everyone to get to this mile post. I'd like to have seen video of those happy dances.

as one of the embroiderers that were in plimoth this weekend, it was very gratifying to be there when so many of the jacket pieces were "finished." There were a lot of happy dances going on! i was also there last september when there was much more white space on the pieces than embroidery. it was exciting to see how much had been accomplished in (only!) a year! Jill, Tricia and Wendy have done a fabulous job coordinating this project, and it has been amazing to me to see how many volunteers have come to embroider on the jacket, and also to make lace for it! i was completely surprised when i saw how many people had sent in lace and/or embroidery samples. i cannot wait to see the completely finished jacket. i envy Jill, who actually gets to sew the jacket together! for those of you who do not know, i sew more than i embroider (and i embroider a LOT!), although embroidery is my first love.

What a change from a year ago! It is wonderful to see all the worked pieces and the happy (and familiar!) faces. Job well done everyone! I only wish I lived closer so I could have done more.

I can hardly wait to see the finished jacket!

WOW! I am so impressed by the work that has been done. To see all those pieces covered in colour is fantastic compared to what I saw last year! Just think, in a year we'll be there to see if finished! Great Job everyone!
