Our First Gentleman
Tim, our first gentleman stitcher, proved not only skillful with a needle and steadfast in the face of multiple trefoils, but also adept at “reconfiguring my bluetooth places” which is what was the trouble the night I couldn’t blog from the embroidery session. Tim brought a little pocket to share at show & tell; work he did over a dozen years ago.
Rich got me a new blog program, so no more bloggie. I hope it will be easier to post pictures with this new program, once I’ve got it figured out, that is. Which may require a tutorial, since I’m not so intuitive when it comes to blog programs. Rich hopes it will be harder for spammers to fill up our site with bogus comments. Please bear with me while I learn this, and I’ll be putting up more photos of this past session.

Over the last few months I have been thoroughly enjoying your blog and the unfolding story. I saw this jacket in the V&A when I was there several years ago (at least I believe it was the same one–I went armed with a list of things to see, like the Jane Bostocke sampler, and their locations). Thank you very much for sharing this. Marjorie

Tech Problems: mj, I can see the overlapping images over text in Internet Explorer as well, but the blog looks and reads fine in both Netscape and Firefox. On your end, you can download Firefox for free from mozilla.com Another fix on your end could be to highlight and copy all the text into a Word processing program for reading and catching up on Nov and Dec entries, and we can hope new entries look fine. I don’t know what the problem is, but maybe the clue that the problem only appears in IE will help Rich the tech guy.

Greetings!
With his permission, I’d like to share Timothy’s website:

He’s an excellent teacher, and has generously made the results of his research available as easy-to-follow instructions and patterns.
Warm wishes,
Susan (from the January session)
