Nighttime in 1627
Your scouts have a unique opportunity to visit the 1627 English Village by night. Your group will be invited into the candle-lit home of one of Plymouth’s colonial residents. As you soak up the warmth of the fire, your host from the 17th century will tell tales about life in the colony and talk about the kind of work that is done in the winter, including making and repairing of fishing nets.
Following your visit to the past, your group will walk to the
museum’s Visitor Center where you’ll warm up with
hot cocoa, than make your own fishing net. Each participant will
learn two net-making knots and then work together on a net that
your group can take home and complete.
Let Plimoth Plantation come to you!
We offer Traveling Workshops and Professional Speakers right at your own doorstep. These hour-long programs
include a visit by a Plymouth colonist or a Wampanoag museum teacher.
Hour-long workshops include a 17th-century English Games workshop
