SLEEP IN THE 17TH CENTURY

Ready to leave the modern world behind? In this exciting hands-on overnight program, adults and families will spend an afternoon, night and morning living as the Wampanoag or English colonists did in the 17th century. Participants choose either a Wampanoag experience or an English colonial experience.

Wampanoag Overnights

Folks will have a chance to experience how life was back in the 17th century. By having a sleep over on the Wampanoag Onsite. During our two-day experience folks will have a guided tour of the site by our Museum Teacher. Have a traditional Wampanoag dinner on site, which includes Corn bread with butter, Dried blueberries, Venison stew, Sliced turkey, Summer squash, Naussump with raspberry, strawberry, and blueberries. And to wash it all down mint tea. After dinner games and passing around traditional artifacts. Also learning how to make a clay pot. Then set up all the bedding in the Wetu"s and have a discussion around the fire. The next morning head up to the visitor center and have a continental breakfast and visit the sites.
