Do You Get The Point ?

Hey Everyone,
This is a arrow point I fount at Plimoth Platation last year in our Tobacco area after I had turned the soil, I was getting it ready to plant our tobacco. This point is the smallest point I have ever fount it is tiny. The arrow was made out of stone, felsite to be exacted. This arrow is close to the size of a dime look below I have a picture of it next to a dime in my hand. This style of arrow is anywhere between 1500 to 1800 years old. It is one of the finest points I have ever seen. Our site has had Native People living there for thousands of years. In the year 1605 Samuel D Champlain sailed into Cape Cod bay and he drew maps of the area, when he sails in to Plymouth Harbor he note the Eel river and he draws corn Field’s and Native house near the fields or in the middle of the corn Field’s. Plimoth Plantation is rich with history its self but our property has a long history it self too, long before it belong to the Hornblower’s it had Native people living here. The museum also had the Clark Garrison house on it, that house in March 20th 1675 was attacked by Native people in the Beginning of King Phillips war. It is very cool working some were that has so much history not just talking to visitor about Plimoth Plantation but so much more history itself.

Thanks for reading

Beautiful point Tim. I’ve found a few on Nantucket, one in the surf on the north shore. I was truly surprised, I was skipping stones with my son and I almost tossed it back into the water, glad I looked at what was in my hand first. I didn’t know about the mapping in the early 1600’s, good stuff!!
