The Wampanoag Indigenous Program

Throughout 2023, Plimoth Patuxet Museums marked a significant milestone, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Wampanoag Indigenous Program. To commemorate the half-a-century legacy and the future of the program, the Museum hosted a slate of public events. From educational presentations to traditional storytelling, music and dance to art, Indigenous culture and heritage was celebrated.

Celebrating 75 Years

On October 15, 2022, Plimoth Patuxet marked our 75th anniversary with a celebratory program, An Evening with David Brooks, featuring the best-selling author who delivered a keynote address. Celebrating Mayflower II's Sapphire Jubilee

Mayflower II, Plimoth Patuxet’s full-scale reproduction of the original Mayflower, is riding a wave of celebration this year. June 13, 2022 marks 65 years since the iconic ship, national treasure, and beloved symbol of freedom crossed the Atlantic in 1957, arriving in the very harbor where the Pilgrims landed in 1620. In June, the Museum commemorated Mayflower II’s major milestone with events and activities that spotlight the ship’s history, maritime heritage and importance, and fill her sails with fanfare and celebrations.
