Save Our Ship! Support Mayflower II

HELP US MEET OUR CHALLENGE!

Plimoth Plantation is actively seeking funding to support Mayflower II’s preservation efforts and enable us to share the magnitude of her transatlantic voyage.

In total, the Mayflower II Restoration Project requires $12 million, which includes a dedicated reserve fund for future maintenance. Of this, $7.5 million is needed before the end of the 2016 in order to proceed with the major phase of restoration; more than $6.2 million has been raised to date from a combination of private donors, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.  If the Museum reaches its $7.5 million goal by November 15, an anonymous donor will give a challenge gift of $1.5 million to establish the maintenance reserve fund.

Will you help us complete our entire goal of $12 million for Mayflower II? Every dollar helps! By adding your contribution to others, you will ensure that this national treasure is preserved for future generations, and together, we can meet this exciting challenge.

Please, consider making a gift in any amount by clicking here or the green button at the bottom of this page. We can’t do it without you. It is only with your support that we will be able to “float the boat”!

For more information about how you can support the restoration of Mayflower II, please call Courtney Roy-Branigan, Director of Development at 508-746-1622 (Ext. 8203).

Thank You for Supporting our Kickstarter Campaign!

We are so grateful for your support of our historic ship! The deadline to donate to our “Float The Boat” Kickstarter campaign and receive wonderful rewards was November 30, 2016. We will fulfill your rewards as you requested by January 31, 2017. Your acknowledgement letter will arrive by the end of 2016, and include the amount that is tax deductible.

Our Kickstarter campaign aimed to raise a $250,000 portion of the overall $7.5 million restoration goal for Mayflower II by November 17. While wewere not able to reach the all-or-nothing goal in that timeframe, we are thrilled that more than 700 backers pledged over $100,000, and many of those backers made a donation to us directly!

We are pleased that our overall fundraising for Mayflower II has been successful, and while our efforts continue, the ship is already at Mystic Seaport’s Henry B. DuPont Preservation Shipyard where the restoration process is underway! Every gift we receive helps us to continue our progress.

Though the Kickstarter campaign has passed, we continue to raise funds for this important project!  To make a fully tax deductible gift without a reward, please donate here.
